The problem

The CEO had identified certain Health and Wellbeing issues critical to future employee management and made commitments to promote a fully supportive employee package. HR executives had identified the fragmented nature of policy environment and asked for a review and proposals for policy upgrades and policy deployment effectiveness.

What we did

Aspire was invited by executive management to identify the scope and content of a policy review and work plan for coordinated policy area covering all Health and Wellbeing matters. An outline Project Initiation Document was agreed identifying outcomes that aligned with overall company objectives. An initial work plan was agreed covering several functional areas and existing policy work. A draft HIV/Aids policy was initiated as this was pre-identified as a gap.

The result

Policy material and metrics have been mapped and reviewed for gaps, status and alignment. A draft action plan for developing policy content, metrics and policy deployment is now under way.

"We have moved from being a purely engineering focused organisation to being an engineering service business. The consultants helped us to recognise our limitations as managers and to introduce new business processes and skills"
